Adult Day Program Without Walls: I-SAIL at Lonely Worm Farm

Adult Day Program to Launch—With Nature, Creativity, and an Innovative Twist

In Flight, Inc. and Lonely Worm Farm Partner to Bring Innovation to Day Programming

In Flight is proud to announce an exciting new collaboration. A collaborative innovation that brings inclusion and creativity to an adult day program without walls in Dutchess County, NY.

Launching August 18, our newest program—I-SAIL at Lonely Worm Farm—offers adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities a space to thrive through meaningful connection, hands-on skill-building, and community engagement. This partnership combines In Flight’s person-centered approach with the vibrant, therapeutic setting of Lonely Worm Farm to create a truly unique opportunity for personal growth.

What Is I-SAIL at Lonely Worm Farm?

This new adult day program without walls is part of In Flight’s Success Academy for Independent Living (I-SAIL). I-SAIL supports individuals as they transition from school-age services into more independent adult lives. Set on Lonely Worm Farms’ beautiful Hyde Park farm, participants will take part in a variety of experiences that support independence, creativity, and confidence.

Activities include:

  • Creative Arts – Pottery, weaving, papermaking, candle-making, and more
  • Herbal & Culinary Projects – Making teas, salves, and nutritious meals
  • Farm-Based Skills – Gardening, animal care, carpentry, and maple tapping
  • Community Engagement – Farm store support, product marketing, and public tours

All activities are designed to build real-life skills in a supportive and inclusive environment—helping individuals gain independence and prepare for community-based employment.
