Moreover, the new One Big Beautiful Bill Act offers improved tax benefits for charitable giving in 2026. For individuals, gifts above 0.5% of income are deductible, and non-itemizers may deduct up to $1,000 or $2,000 jointly.
Cash gifts now count up to 60% of adjusted gross income, allowing larger deductions during high-giving years. For corporations, contributions must equal at least 1% of taxable income, with a continued cap of 10%, to qualify for deductions. Furthermore, bundling donations to meet this limit may maximize tax advantages.
