At In Flight, Inc. our mission is to empower people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, reach for their hopes and dreams, and support a meaningful quality of life.

We envision a world where everyone can strive for the best quality of life in a supportive and fulfilling environment.

Our Folks:

At In Flight, we affectionately call the people we support "our folks". This term was originally coined by Matthew G. Batman, CEO of In Flight, Inc., to add a more person-centered approach to the term "people we support". What is person-centered? Person-centered means recognizing the individuality of each person receiving services. At In Flight we recognize each person for who they are, which is themselves. No one person is a like. Therefore, our services are tailored to support each persons unique likes, dislikes, and needs.

"I like my staff and friends at I-SAIL. We have a fish named Queen Mall. We learn about life skills, money skills, and job skills. I would like to own my own hair salon one day. I would like to have my first job as a hostess at Texas Road House. Also, I've been going to Prevoc to help me learn how to get a job.

In Flight is important to me because it helped me with my podcast and has given me a safe home and place to learn. In Flight is a good agency." - Tiffany

"While at In Flight I was provided services like Day Hab, Supportive Living, I-SAIL, and Housing. Day Hab helped me to get my alone time for independence in the community. After I got my alone time, Day Hab helped me get prepared for I-SAIL. I-SAIL helped me with living skills, work skills, learning boundaries, and helped me learn right from wrong. Also, I-SAIL helped me get my own apartment. These services are important to me because they helped me feel like I have rights like everyone else. All these programs have helped me in some way. I think these are important because they help so many people" - Jacob

"I have a beautiful life. I have a cleaning job at one of the In Flight, Inc. offices in Red Hook. Also, I receive services right through In Flight such as SEMP, Supported Employment Program. I know how to speak up for myself at In Flight, Inc. I-SAIL. I do like my people there. Also, I learn job skills and volunteering. I would like to work at a Comic Store and I could own a tiny house someday." - Donna
