IN FLIGHT BRINGS WEEKLY FARM STORE POP-UP TO RED HOOK THROUGH PARTNERSHIP WITH LONELY WORM FARM

Expanding community connections through weekly farm store pop-up.

In Flight, Inc. is excited to announce a new weekly Farm Store Pop-Up in Red Hook, bringing fresh local products and meaningful vocational training opportunities to the community for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

The Farm Store Pop-Up is held every Friday throughout the summer from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Located at 7509 North Broadway in Red Hook, across the street from In Flight’s Red Hook I-SAIL program. Shoppers can purchase fresh eggs, seasonal produce, herbal products, flowers, ceramics, merchandise, and more.

The pop-up is an extension of the successful partnership between In Flight and Lonely Worm Farm in Hyde Park. In 2025, the organizations collaborated to establish In Flight’s third I-SAIL academy, creating a unique farm-based learning environment. A unique program where participants build independence, vocational, and employment skills through hands-on experiences.

About The Lonely Worm Farm Store

Located at 77 Ruskey Lane in Hyde Park, I-SAIL at Lonely Worm Farm is home to the Farm Store. The store is open Wednesdays from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The products available at both locations are grown, harvested, crafted, or prepared by I-SAIL participants at the farm.

The Red Hook Pop-Up provides additional opportunities for participants to apply the skills they develop through I-SAIL. From stocking products and assisting customers to processing transactions and managing inventory, participants gain valuable real-world experience while building confidence and independence.

Equally important, the pop-up creates meaningful opportunities for participants to connect with community members. Through these interactions, they strengthen communication skills and develop relationships. Additionally, participants demonstrate the valuable contributions individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities make every day.

“At Lonely Worm Farm, we believe meaningful work, creativity, and connection to the land should be accessible to everyone.” Says Jess Spector, Director of Lonely Worm Farm Arts & Agriculture Programming. “The Farm Store showcases products grown, harvested, crafted, and prepared with the involvement of our participants, giving them opportunities to develop vocational, artistic, and social skills, build confidence, and contribute to their community. Every bouquet, herbal product, vegetable, and handmade item tells a story of collaboration and care. We’re excited to welcome the public into our story through both the Farm Store and our Red Hook I-SAIL Pop-Up, creating opportunities for connection between our participants, our land, and the broader community.”

Community members are encouraged to visit the Pop-Up on Fridays in Red Hook or the Farm Store at Lonely Worm Farm on Wednesdays in Hyde Park to support local products and the individuals whose hard work makes them possible.

The Farm Store in Hyde Park also offers pick-your-own bouquets in season, along with other workshops and events open to the public.
