Remarkable Cornhole for a Cause Lit Up Catskill, Raises $20K
In Flight, Inc.’s 4th Annual Cornhole for a Cause brought the community together for a day of fun, friendly competition, and fundraising on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Dutchman’s Landing in Catskill. With hundreds of attendees and plenty of excitement, the event raised over $20,000 to support In Flight’s mission of empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
This year’s Cornhole for a Cause lit up Catskill in more ways than one. The celebration featured a historic first for the area – a drone light show over the Hudson River, presented by SkyStage. The stunning display lit up the night with iconic Star Wars-inspired characters, the In Flight logo, and special tributes to presenting sponsor Hudson Regional LTC Pharmacy, and Test Tone AV who generously provided the photo booth and DJ services.
A Day Full of Fun and Community
Guests enjoyed an action-packed day, starting with a lively cornhole tournament and live music from The Second Chance Band. Family-friendly activities kept kids entertained, while the 501st Legion’s Empire City Garrison, featuring stormtroopers, Darth Vader, and Princess Leia, thrilled attendees of all ages.
Local food vendors added even more flavor to the festivities, including The Catskill Carver, Atomic Pop, At First Bite, All Grilled Up, Tal’s Hometown Dogs, Village Pizza II, Need to Knead, and Texas Tornado Chips.
Cornhole boards were generously donated by Clinton Ave Baggers, Route 66 Cornhole, and Mountain Top Cornhole, while volunteers from Catskill High School helped the event run smoothly, exemplifying the community spirit that makes Cornhole for a Cause so special.
Making a Real Impact
Funds raised from the event will directly support In Flight’s programs, including residential services, day habilitation, job training, and community integration initiatives across Columbia, Dutchess, Greene, and Ulster counties. These programs empower individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to thrive, participate fully in their communities, and live meaningful lives.
In Flight, Inc. extends its deepest gratitude to Hudson Regional LTC Pharmacy, the event’s Presenting Sponsor, as well as Champion Sponsors MVP Health Care and The Bank of Greene County. Social Sponsors included Price Chopper, KeyBank, Central Hudson, and Sawyer Motors.
Looking Ahead
Cornhole for a Cause continues to grow as a community tradition of inclusion, joy, and impact. The day reminded everyone that when the community comes together, magic happens — both on the cornhole boards and in the lives of the individuals In Flight supports.
