Launched in 2012 as a simple idea to encourage people to do good, Giving Tuesday has evolved into a worldwide movement inspiring millions to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity. This global day, observed on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, unites communities to build a better world through donations, volunteering, and acts of kindness. This year, Giving Tuesday will be on December 3rd.
At its heart, Giving Tuesday strives to shift the focus from getting to giving. It reminds us of the extraordinary power of generosity to shape a brighter future. In 2022 alone, Giving Tuesday raised over $3 billion in donations in the U.S., showcasing how collective action can make a monumental difference.

This year, In Flight, Inc. is proud to be part of this global movement with a transformative project: Paving the Path to Independence: One Brick at a Time. At In Flight, our mission is to empower individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) to reach their hopes and dreams, and this Giving Tuesday, we’re inviting you to join us in making a profound impact.
Our Town Hall Transformation Project is a cornerstone of this mission. This initiative will turn our Town Hall Residential Program into a vibrant community hub. Individuals at Town Hall will be supported to foster independence, growth, and a meaningful quality of life.
The project is not just about renovating a building; it’s about building futures. The transformed Town Hall will be a place where dreams take flight, where individuals with I/DD are empowered to achieve their goals and thrive.
Leave Your Legacy: One Brick at a Time
To support the Town Hall Transformation Project, we’ve launched a special Giving Tuesday campaign. Here’s how you can make your mark:
- $100 Donation: a personalized, engraved garden stone to be added to our garden at Town Hall.
- $250 Donation: secure a personalized 4×8 engraved brick.
- $500 Donation: plant a personalized an 8×8 engraved brick.
- $1,000 Donation: mark your generosity with a personalized an 12×12 engraved brick.
These personalized bricks and stones will form a beautiful pathway outside the Town Hall. They will symbolize the steps we’re taking together toward independence and opportunity. For those able to give at higher levels, naming rights to key spaces in the Town Hall are also available, creating an even deeper legacy of support.
