DESCRIPTION:I-SAIL Open House & Pop-Up Shop!\n \nAll are welcome to our Open House and Pop-Up Shop event at our Red Hook I-SAIL location on May 7\, from 11am to 2pm. Stop by and join us at our Red Hook I-SAIL Academy and experience the heartwarming community spirit of our In Flight Success Academy for Independent Living! \nThis event is designed for everyone—families\, care managers\, potential participants\, and community members—who want to learn more about our unique program.  It’s a fantastic opportunity to discover how I-SAIL empowers individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to reach their full potential. \nAt In Flight\, we are on a mission to empower people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD)\, reach for their hopes and dreams\, and support a meaningful quality of life. Our unique I-SAIL program provides an extra step for young adults with I/DD who have aged out of the school system and are ready to transition to independent living. In Flight prides itself on consistently innovating new ways to best achieve the goals of those we support\, I-SAIL\, being one of these innovations. \nLearn about The Academy!\nYou’ll have the chance to engage with our staff and participants\, gaining insights into the personalized steps taken to enrich independent living skills and financial sustainability for adults with I/DD. Learn firsthand about the impact of our initiatives on the lives of those we serve and witness the curriculum we have created to addresses the barriers to living independently. \nHandmade Candles & Bake Sale\nOur Pop-Up Shop will showcase some of the skills The Academy works on with our individuals.  Not only will there be a delightful array of handmade candles\, but a delicious bake sale all made by our talented participants.
